Mrs. Schroeder, K-1

Hi, My name is Christy Schroeder.  I have been teaching in the DUSD for eight years.  Prior to this, I taught 4th and 5th grade at a private school.  I have also been a substitute in grades K-8th.  I graduated from Pacific Christian College with a bachelor of science degree and went on to National University for graduate work. I currently teach Kindergarten which I thoroughly enjoy.  This is such a rewarding grade to teach because the level of academic growth is incredible!  They are so excited to learn and that makes teaching fun.

Mrs. Guerrero, K-2
I have been teaching for ten years. I have a Master's degree in School Administration from Concordia University. I received my B.A in Biology from Whittier College. I was selected to be a Graduate Teaching Fellow at Broadoaks Childrens' School of Whittier College. I worked as a demonstration teacher there for 2 years. I worked as a preschool teacher and a Kindergarten teacher. Upon completion of my credential in 2000 I came to Imperial Elementary. I have worked on a wonderful Kindergarten team for the past ten years! My goal as a teacher is to mold strong academic minds and resilient characters for the future. I continually challenge my students to excel in school and in life. I encourage my students to develop a strong sense of self so they can motivate themselves in any situation. I am lucky to work at the best school ever.
I am married to Emilio since November 2007. In June 2009 we welcomed my first daughter Anna-Sophia. We live in Downey with my dogs, Negra and Pinta

I have a daughter who is employed with the Fashion Industry in Los Angeles.  My son graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a degree in Political Science.  He is hoping to work in the sports field upon completion of his master's degree in Business.

My hobbies include caring for my two horses. My riding horse is a full blooded Arabian mare, and my race horse is a full blooded Thoroughbred colt.
